Is FromTurk free for buyers?
Yes. Browsing suppliers, posting RFQs, receiving quotes, messaging, and dispute mediation are all free for buyers. Buyers may optionally subscribe to a Pro plan for priority RFQ matching and advanced analytics.
How fast will I get quotes?
Most RFQs receive 5–15 quotes within 24–48 hours. Niche or highly customized requests may take 3–5 business days as suppliers prepare engineering reviews.
Can I request samples before ordering?
Yes. Sample workflow is built-in: request samples from one or many suppliers, pay shipping (often refunded against bulk order), and track courier delivery from your dashboard.
What payment terms are typical?
Most Turkish exporters accept 30% advance / 70% against B/L copy via bank-to-bank T/T. Letters of credit (LC at sight, usance up to 180d) are accepted for orders over $50K. Open account is rare for first orders. All payments are settled directly between buyer's and supplier's banks — fromturk.net is not a party to the commercial payment.
Which Incoterms are supported?
FOB Mersin / Ambarlı / Aliaga / İzmir is most common. EXW, FCA, CIF, CFR, and DDP are quoted on request — buyers can specify in the RFQ.
Does fromturk.net hold buyer funds for B2B trade?
No. FromTurk is a sourcing & lead-generation platform. Commercial contracts and payments are concluded directly between buyer and supplier, through their own banks. fromturk.net does not act as a marketplace operator, payment institution, or escrow agent for the underlying goods trade.
What if the goods are defective on arrival?
You have 30 days from arrival to file a claim with photo/video evidence. Our team helps mediate between you and the supplier; binding remedies depend on the commercial contract you signed with the supplier.
Do you offer logistics?
FromTurk does not act as a freight forwarder. We integrate with Turkish 3PLs (Borusan, Ekol, Mars Logistics) and global FFs for door-to-door quotes, but the contract is between you and the carrier.
